DO Curico Valley
Located 200 km south of Santiago and at 38’s as southern Spain, Curico Valley is currently one of the most well-known wine regions in Chile. Most of the vineyards are located at the east close to the Andes, which is cooler than the western side due to the breezes coming down from the mountains. Meanwhile, the coastal range protects the valley from the ocean current at the western end. The temperature difference between days and nights provides an ideal condition for fruity and freshly acidic wines.
